Fine artist

Painter of seascapes, coastal scenes and boat portraits is a working Fisherman out of North Shields and paints in different mediums. His livelihood and passion is displayed in his paintings - the sea.

He has exhibited sucessfully at: University of Northumbria Gallery; Amico Art Gallery, Oslo, Norway; Ord Ogbilde Gallery, Oslo, Norway; Hatton Gallery, Newcastle, and is now exhibiting at the Bakery Art Gallery, North Shields - his home town.

Over recent years Michael has exhibited locally and had his work published in Peter Mortimer's book The Last of the Hunters. His recent success was his painting of the 'Watchhouse Ladies' for the Watchhouse Renovation Fund, based on Winslow Homer's 'Perils On The Sea', which went for £405 (GB pounds).
